Beef and Vegetable Stir-fry
This easy beef and vegetable stir-fry recipe will wow everyone at the table. Serve with hot brown rice to make a complete meal.
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 2 cups small broccoli florets
- 1 small red onion, halved and sliced
- 2 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 cup DairyPure® Whole milk
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 8 ounces flank steak
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Hot cooked brown rice
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
In 12-inch skillet over medium heat, in 1 tablespoon hot oil, cook broccoli, red onion, carrots and garlic about 5 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring occasionally. Remove vegetables to bowl.
Meanwhile, in medium bowl combine DairyPure milk, soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger, salt and crushed red pepper until smooth. Cut flank steak into thin slices; sprinkle with salt.
In same skillet over medium-high heat, cook sliced flank steak in remaining tablespoon oil until well browned on all sides, stirring frequently. Return vegetable mixture to skillet. Stir in milk mixture; cook stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Toss to mix well. Serve with hot cooked brown rice.
